During Relief Society on Sunday they passed around "getting to know you" cards that asked us to list 5 things about ourselves from generic to more specific. Oddly enough, I had real problem with the generic information, but no trouble with the specific information. Without any planning or much thought I wrote on #5 "I am pursing a professional career in photography."
I have thought about photography a lot recently. I am taking an online correspondence class, just signed up for a weekend workshop in L.A. and I am planning a week-long seminar (if I can get the time off approved in May) in Sisters, Oregon; however, I have not publicly announced that I was pursuing photography. When they revealed the five clues about myself (#1: blue/green eyes, #2: glasses, #3: teach high school, #4: traveled to 17 countries) I was pleased with how comfortable I was with the last statement.
Maybe this is part of my new directions for a new year. Only time will tell.
